Chill session or Chill Counselling Session is the opportunity to discuss your thoughts and feelings about the issues you face in day-to-day life that you wish to understand better, explore and heal in a relaxing, friendly and confidential setting. It is a collaborative process in which you, as the expert of your life, gain higher awareness and feel empowered to find your own answers.
That “stuck” feeling can sometimes be more than just an emotional/psychological response to a situation. It can be the result of your energy being weighed down by your own and/or others’ limiting beliefs and negative thoughts about you. Thoughts are energy. In an Energy Equalizing Session, the counselor guides you into a deep state of relaxation that allows you to be able to see, feel and connect with your own energy and clean-heal-rid it of all those thoughts, those energies, that have been weighing you down and making you feel “stuck”, while at the same time keeping your higher energies and values up-and-running so you can stay in a balanced frame of mind, thus focusing on growth and mindfulness.
Based on your own requirement and desire for healing and growth, in a set of sessions we give you the right space and time to express, to relax, be your authentic self, discover and transform. We use compassion, spiritual wisdom and a psychological framework to facilitate insight and awareness to help you find your own answers. You can start by fixing an online or an in-person first session.
Yes. Everything you share will be confidential. This is an extremely important ethical guideline for a counsellor where no information can be disclosed to another person without your consent. Therefore you can relax and be assured that what you share will be kept a secret. We are honourably and ethically bound to maintain confidentiality except in situations where there is risk of self-harm, harm to others or child abuse.
Our counsellors practice in a professional and private setting, designed for individuals, couples, group and family counselling sessions. Professional counsellors are ethically bound to practice in a designated setting and not in a coffee shop or any other informal setting.
The fees will be shared with you once you fix an appointment. However, you will need to pay 20% from the first session’s fee as a booking amount, which will be adjusted in your session charges. You might benefit from knowing that Chill with Aum is a community interest company, therefore the cost of counselling will be fair and reasonable.
We understand your concern. It is important to note that, at Chill with Aum, keeping all information about you and all our other clients strictly confidential is our utmost priority and we want to keep it that way. When you book an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email or text message that will provide our address and route map. You can then visit the centre for your private session. At the end of the session, we can mutually decide on future sessions.
No. This is an inaccurate understanding of the role of counsellors. Counsellors are NOT advice givers or problem solvers rather they are professionals trained with skills and competencies that facilitate an individual to gain awareness, growth and transformation through a warm & understanding relationship. There is no magic solution or specific advice. Every individual, and their life situation, is unique. Hence there can never be a ‘one size fits all’ solution.
Since there is no professional body or association for counselling in India yet, there is a lot of confusion about the role of a counsellor that is distinct from a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist. While all of these approaches may treat similar issues, they may differ in their philosophy and focus. Counsellors and psychologists typically focus on the psychological, emotional and sociological aspects of helping a person grow. Psychiatrists typically focus on the biological aspects of a problem.
The counsellor works with an open, neutral and non-judgemental attitude free from socio-cultural perspectives and religious backgrounds. As a part of the training, counsellors have been exposed to various religions and worldviews. This helps them to stay relevant and understand clients from their own religion and worldview. Counsellors are ethically bound not to enforce their personal religious beliefs on to clients.
In our experience, after counselling, people have shared that they “feel lighter”, “gain clarity”, “learn more about themselves and others”, “feel less stuck or overwhelmed”, “feel energized”, “feel good, positive and hopeful”, “take decisions and actions”, “see positive changes”, “improve relationships” and so on.
You might be able to find your answers in the first session OR may require further sessions. It depends solely on your needs and goals.
Usually they are 1-2 hour sessions on a weekly basis.

The reason counselling is effective is because the counsellor is a third person. The counsellor doesn’t know you hence will be able to understand you and your issues better, being completely neutral, objective and non-judgemental. It is unethical for counsellors to provide professional counselling to their friends or relatives, as they may not be detached and neutral towards them.
Since counsellors don’t provide any advice, there is no scope of ‘wrong advice’. The counsellor at best can give you suggestions or recommendations at much later stages in counselling, where he/she has understood your context and situation thoroughly. However, any suggestion made by a counsellor cannot be forced upon you. It is up to you whether to consider it or not.
Whatever it was that you wanted to achieve.
